The Biomedical Polymer Materials Research Group of Ningbo Institute of Materials, Chinese Academy of Sciences aims at the urgent clinical demand for biomaterials for trauma repair and tissue regeneration. The research area includes the design and construction of active drugs and functional macromolecules, structural regulation of macromolecular networks, study on the interaction mechanisms between materials and biomolecules, bacteria, cells and biological tissues, and design and development of bioadaptive materials and functional interfaces that can actively adapt to the dynamic physiological environment in vivo and promote the repair and functional reconstruction of traumatic tissues. The ultimate research goal of the team is development of new generations of trauma repair and tissue regeneration biomaterials and devices for personalized and precise treatment strategies.
